Contemporary Problems of Geochemistry

The principal topic of the 2nd conference: "Contemporary Problems of Geochemistry" is application of geochemical, mineralogical and petrological studies in environmental sciences including:

  • geochemical interactions in/between various environmental systems;
  • analytical methods used for solving various environmental issues;
  • identification of natural and anthropogenic pollution sources;
  • establishment of background concentrations;
  • and other environment-oriented aspects.
Organizers:
  1. Geochemical Group of the Mineralogical Society of Poland
  2. Institute of Chemistry, Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce

Dating of Minerals and Rocks XI

The 11th Geochronological Conference is the continuation of the previous10 all-Polish Symposia: "Dating of Minerals and Rocks" that were held at UMCS in Lublin (6 times), ING PAN in Warszawa, IGN PAN in Kraków, Jagiellonian University in Kraków and University of Gdańsk. The main issues of this symposium encompasses:

  • U-Pb, U-Th, Rb-Sr, K-Ar, 40Ar-39Ar, 210Pb and other isotope dating methods;
  • non-isotope dating including fission tracks, chemical Th(U)-Pb dating, TL and OSL methods;
  • stable isotopes (strontium, sulfur etc.) related to dating of geologic materials.
Organizers:
  1. Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin
  2. Institute of Chemistry, Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce
  3. Geochemical Group of the Mineralogical Society of Poland
